The Circle Around You

We've Definitely Changed Shape, and We're Excited About It and About How We Can Continue to Serve People Going Through Life Transitions

Imagine sitting in the middle of a circle of people who've come together to support each other. And now you're the one being supported.

You've told them briefly what you're going through and what you're hoping for, and now they're gathered around you, paying attention.

You might have been grieving someone you've lost. Or your marriage is ending. It could be that you miss having perfect health as you're now dealing with challenging symptoms. Maybe you realize you have to move but don't feel prepared. Or your children have all gone to college, and you're feeling a bit lost. You might be trying to figure out what comes next after a major change you didn't necessarily want, or standing at the precipice of a new chapter that you did choose but still don't quite know how to step into.

Then the circle begins.

Everyone is visualizing you happy and at peace, finding your way, living out your intention. Or perhaps they're praying, toning, or sending you healing energy to the present or to your desired outcome. For a little while, there's a small roomful of people focused on your well-being.

Can you even take that in? If you can't, there are alternative practices that may feel like more of a fit. But what's important is that no one is giving you advise or analyzing you, and no one is encouraging you to make sense of your struggle. You're just being seen, heard, and held by people who have chosen to be there with you.

This is the idea behind the Community Healing Circle, one of the newest monthly gatherings at MindBody Healing Center.

We'll use simple practices such as toning, chanting, visualization, prayer, focused intention, and energy work. Each participant gets a turn standing or sitting in the center while the rest of the circle surrounds them with their attention and support. At other times, we'll work together around a shared intention.

No experience with energy healing or even meditation is necessary. You can participate in whatever way feels comfortable, and you won't be asked to share anything you don't want to share.

We realized something about who we're here for

Over the past few years, we've been paying attention to the people who find their way to MindBody Healing Center and the things they're asking for help with.

Again and again, we see folks in the middle of a significant life transition.

We also started looking at our practitioners and realizing how much lived experience exists within this community. We know loss, divorce, illness, and major transformation. We know what it's like to lose people we love, to become estranged from people we thought would always be in our lives, to feel profoundly alone, to make a career change before we feel ready, and to have to figure out who we are after something fundamental has changed.

These aren't abstract ideas to us. They're part of being human. So we've become much more intentional about who MindBody Healing Center is here for.

We're a community for people moving through life transition that include endings, losses, transformation, and new beginnings—and even that strange and liminal period that rests between where you're coming from and the ending of the old self and of what's to come and who you're becoming. And we've been creating more ways for people to find support and connection while they're there.

New Monthly Groups These are opportunities to come back, see familiar faces, get to know people, and develop relationships over time. They include:

The Emotional Freedom Techniqe (EFT) Tapping Circle uses gentle tapping on specific points on the body while focusing on something that's troubling you. It can be particularly useful during transitions, when anxiety, grief, anger, fear, uncertainty, or conflicting emotions can all show up at once. Allison Brunner will guide you through the process, so you don't need to know anything about EFT before you come. We'll work with whatever is arising for you around the transition you're experiencing, and you'll also learn a technique you can continue using on your own.

The Narcissistic Abuse Survivor's Support Group, facilitated by Andrea Hilborn, is another new addition. It's a peer-support gathering for people who are healing from emotionally difficult relationships. Whether you're still in the relationship, trying to leave, or rebuilding your life afterward, there's room to talk, listen, or simply be around people who understand something about what you've experienced.

And then there's Community Healing Circle, where the group itself becomes part of the support.

All three of these are pay what you can.

Amanda Shannon's Soul Keys Series offers a different kind of exploration. Each month focuses on a different aspect of who we are and who we're becoming, with reflection, meditation, journaling, intuitive guidance, conversation, or simple practices depending on the theme. You can attend individual gatherings for $65, or purchase the entire six-part series for $375, which gives you a $15 savings over attending each gathering separately.

Paige McHugh is also bringing Moon Circle back. Each month, around the full moon, She'll talk about the astrology surrounding that particular period of time and invite the group to reflect on what's happening in their own lives. There will be meditation, time for personal reflection, and card messages for the group. Here, you get to pause and notice where we are, especially when so much of life can feel like it's moving very quickly.

And Christina Freese is back at MindBody Healing Center, too. She's an evidential psychic medium, energy healer, and transformation coach who works with people experiencing grief, life transitions, and those moments when something in their lives needs to change. Her work brings together mediumship, intuitive guidance, energy healing, shadow and inner-child work, meditation, breathwork, and coaching. She also brings years of professional leadership and business experience to her work with people navigating career decisions, business challenges, new opportunities, and growth.

Christina doesn't see herself as someone who needs to tell another person what to do. Her work is about helping people reconnect with their own wisdom and recognize the capacity they already have to create change. We're so happy and honored to have her back.

You know who else is coming on board? Our beloved Mary Dredge whom you often see participating in our community events! Mary is a certified plant-based nutrtion specialist with life coach training and nearly three decades spent learning to read a room, listen closely, and lead with empathy. Mary blends practical nutrition guidance with mental, emotional, and environmental support to help people heal the whole self (rather than just the body). She is a published author of several self-help and personal growth titles, and he rmission is simple: that everyone she works with feels loved, supported, and enough.

There's a lot happening here.

Along with these new offerings, our monthly calendar includes Writing for Healing, HELD, Angel Gallery Readings, Spiritual Awakening, Community Connection Games, The Healing Intensive, and more. Some of these groups are deeply reflective. Others are spiritual. Still others are practical and some playful.

And that's intentional.

When your life changes, you don't necessarily need the same thing every week. Sometimes you want to talk. Sometimes you're inspired to write. Sometimes you desire learning something that helps you feel more grounded. Sometimes you need someone to read the cards. Sometimes you just long to lie down and receive energy healing. And sometimes you've got to laugh with a few people and make a new friend.

That's what we've created at MindBody Healing Center: a place where you can come when something in your life is changing and find people who understand what you're feeling. A place where you don't have to know exactly what you need before you walk through the door. And a place where you can receive support, offer support, learn something new, meet people, explore something you've always been curious about, or simply spend an evening around other human beings.
